Friends & family,
More for the benefit of those who now live
out-of-town, I scanned into my computer an array
of post cards about Youngstown, as it
existed pre-1939. The pictures are really a nice
snapshot of how things used to be. I have them
scanned in high resolution, but I reduced them
so you can view them below. Note the postage
back then and also at Pioneer Pavilion in Mill
Creek Park, see how the road crosses the creek
with the old bridge. The introductory write-up
is also interesting. A little bit of history
preserved in an accordion-style postcard folder
made in Chicago. It took me over three hours to
assemble, scan and edit, so enjoy: -
